Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ

These are the questions patients ask most often. We have answered them as honestly and clearly as we can — because clarity is the entire reason Surgeoninfoz exists.

FAQ 1 What exactly does Surgeoninfoz do — and how is it different from seeing another doctor?

Surgeoninfoz is India's first independent surgical advisory information service. We help patients who have received a surgical recommendation — and feel confused, uncertain, or pressured — to think through their situation with more clarity and more information, before they say yes to anything.

We do two things: we help you understand what questions to ask about your surgical recommendation, and we help you understand what to look for when evaluating a surgeon's credentials and suitability for your specific type of procedure.

What we do not do is equally important: we do not diagnose, we do not prescribe, we do not recommend specific surgeons or hospitals, and we do not review your medical records. We are a patient education and information service — not a clinical service.

Think of us the way you might think of a knowledgeable, independent friend who understands the surgical world and can sit with you calmly, help you think clearly, and help you know what questions to bring back to your doctor. That is the role Surgeoninfoz plays — and no hospital, no booking platform, and no referral network can play it, because they all have a commercial stake in the outcome. We do not.

FAQ 2 How does the Surgeoninfoz advisory process actually work — what happens when I contact you?

The process is simple, private, and entirely on your terms.

  1. You reach out to us through our website, WhatsApp, or phone call. You tell us the general nature of your situation — what type of surgical recommendation you have received, what specialty is involved, and what your primary concern or uncertainty is. You do not need to share any medical documents or records with us.
  2. One of our trained advisory team members schedules a confidential one-on-one call with you. During this call, we listen fully to your situation without judgment or pressure. We then share relevant educational information: what the right questions to ask your surgeon might be, what parameters to look for when evaluating surgical credentials for your type of procedure, and how to approach the decision-making process in an informed way.
  3. You receive a clear, written summary of the key points from your advisory call — the questions to ask, the parameters to consider, and the next steps that may be worth taking. This summary is yours to use however you find helpful.

Throughout this process, we do not review medical reports, we do not recommend a specific surgeon or hospital, and we do not tell you whether to have surgery or not. Those decisions are yours — made with your chosen medical professionals. Our role is to make sure you are equipped to have those conversations with clarity and confidence.

FAQ 3 Who is Surgeoninfoz for — and is it relevant to my situation?

Surgeoninfoz is for any patient in India who has received a surgical recommendation and wants an independent, unbiased perspective before making their decision.

Specifically, you will benefit from speaking to us if you are in any of these situations:

  • You have been told you need surgery and feel uncertain about whether it is truly necessary right now.
  • You have been given a surgeon's name by a hospital and want to understand what questions to ask about their credentials and experience before agreeing.
  • You feel pressured to decide quickly and want space to think with someone who is not connected to the hospital or the surgical recommendation.
  • You want to understand what a second opinion involves and how to approach getting one from a qualified medical specialist.
  • You are a family member supporting a loved one through a surgical decision and want to understand the process better.

Who we are NOT for: Surgeoninfoz is not a service for emergency medical situations. If you are facing a medical emergency, please call 108 or go to the nearest hospital immediately. We are also not for individuals seeking a clinical diagnosis, a prescription, or a specific medical recommendation — for those needs, please consult a registered medical practitioner directly.

Surgeoninfoz is for the patient who wants to be informed — and who believes they deserve an independent expert on their side before they say yes to one of the most important decisions of their life. That is exactly who we are built for.
